Zak Williams & 1/Akord

Stellar Award Winning Producer, Songwritter, Husband, Father,  Founder of Philadelphia Based Choir  1/AKORD  started his musical career at the early age of 5. As a young boy he began playing the Piano, Drums and soon moved on to play other instruments. He furthered his passion for music by attending the Settlement Music School located in Philadelphia, Pa. His Professional musical journey took its formation when he became the Organist for the Rev Ernest Davis Jr.'s Wilmington – Chester Mass Choir . From this life changing experience Zak appeared on 6 CD's. This experience opened the door to his national musical career allowing him play for and with some of gospel music's greatest singers and musicians... Zak has produced & has written songs for various artists and different churches. In 2005, Zak along with production partner Pastor Mark Harmon, reorganized his production company and renamed it, 1/A MUZIK Group. Zak was the Producer of the  2011 Stellar Award Winning Wilmington Chester Choir “He’s Still Good” project. This project earned 2 Stellar Awards!! .  In 2004 1/AKORD was birthed.. 1AKORD consists of  individuals from Delaware, Pennsylvania , New Jersey, Maryland , D.C. & more areas. They all come from various denominations united together to uplift the word of God through song. They have been blessed to minister with some of Gospel music's finest, Ricky Dillard & New G, Kurt Carr, Kim Burrell, Donald Lawrence & The Tri City Singers, J Moss, Myron Butler & Levi, Dottie Peoples, Tramaine Hawkins, Pastor Shirley Caesar & Dr. Bobby Jones just to name a few. ZW & 1AKD was also blessed to be apart of The International Gospel Industry Retreat & The Urban Impact Summit. Both aired on The Word Network. They have also appeared numerous times on Bobby Jones Gospel which airs on BET. ZW & 1AKD also had the opportunity to participate in the Josh Groban & Trace Atkins tours as well as the Timeless Tour. In 2012, Zak & 1/AKORD won 2 Rhythm Of Gospel Awards “Contemporary Choir of The Year & Community Choir Of The Year… Z.W. & 1/Akord's first live recording was held on Monday, February 21, 2005 at Ford Memorial Temple in Philadelphia, PA. The recording included special guest director James Hall, Featured Jonathan Nelson , Bishop Mary Alexander , Pastor Jason Nelson and a special appearance by Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones. The Declaration was then released in 2006. The project featured hit songs That City, He Remains The Same & “NO WEAPON”. ZW & 1AKD recorded their sophomore CD November 18, 2008 at the Love Fellowship Tabernacle Church, Bensalem PA. This project , “Things Are Gonna Get Better” was released on Global Entertainment label.  If invited to your event get ready for a "Pentecostal Experience"!!!!!!!!!!
